Founder
My name is Samantha. I’ve lived and worked across Vietnam, India, the United States and now Canada - experiences that shaped my appreciation for belonging, dignity, and the quiet strength of community. I carry with me a blend of Eastern and Western perspectives, and a belief that care begins with truly seeing the individual.
I started Livia with one guiding question: would I use this for my parents? That question shapes every decision we make. And from my years in Asia, I hold a deep love for the way community naturally surrounds elders - closeness and everyday connection. I hope to bring a touch of that spirit into Livia’s philosophy of care.
Livia exists to create care that feels warm, personal, and deeply human - a sense of being understood and at home.

My name is Kevin. I’ve always felt most at home in simple, grounding things: nature, music, and good people, and elder care brings all of that together for me. Whether I’m singing with my guitar, painting, or cycling through the city, those same gentle rhythms shape the way I spend time with seniors.
I have a background in psychology and social service work, and I’ve spent more than a decade supporting older adults. Caring for seniors feels natural to me - less like work and more like a way of life. It’s where I feel in the zone, where things slow down and become more meaningful.
Over the years, I’ve met so many remarkable people. One gentleman in particular inspired me deeply, and the stories we shared eventually led me to dedicate a book I wrote to him and the quiet wisdom found in aging.

Livia's Care Philosophy
We believe care begins with understanding.
Before tasks, schedules, or plans, we take time to get to know the person - their story, their family, and what brings them comfort.
Our approach is calm and attentive. Support is shaped around the rhythms of home, so care doesn't feels rushed, intrusive, or clinical.
At Livia, care is personal: grounded in presence, guided by respect, and delivered with quiet devotion.
